Chinchilla Melon Festival....

The small Queensland town of Chinchilla is in the grip of melon mayhem as it plays host to about 10,000 visitors for it's famous Melon Festival. About 25 per cent of Australia's melons come from the Chinchilla region.

This is something i wanted to do, mukhang enjoy na enjoy sila ano?

Among all the things i wanted to do before the day i die ay isa ito ha ha....!

Locals say the event, which began in 1994, helps lift their spirits in times of drought and flood. It also promotes the melon industry and encourages tourism.

Cell Phones cause blindness....?

As the cellphone technology is continuously evolving from the humble 1kg block type motorola phones to the more complicated but fantastic walastik ones like iphone halimbawa, and becoming more and more popular and their use is still increasing as we blog, so too are the cellphone-related accidents.

These accidents ranges from minor to catastrophic, to disastrous and have led to the implimentations of various laws that limit or prohibits the use of cell phones in different situations and different cases. Cell phones kasi halimbawa na lang, can easily draw a driver's attention away from the traffic around him. Tuloy nawawalan sila ng konsentrasyon resulting to tambling, balintong gulong ang kotse, in short, aksidente....

Dito sa downunder may 26 million cellphones pala that's more than one phone to one person grabe.... Kayo meron din ba kayo cellphone related moments or accidents na nakakatawa, nakakainis o nakakabaliw to remember, share nyo naman sa amin para masaya tayong lahat.... =)

Bush Tucker....

If you happen to find yourself lost amongst the towering gigantic eucalyptus trees and some strange looking wildlife, and dry red soil on the ground, you know that you're in an australian bushland....

Probably the very first thing that will come to your now slowly dehydrating brain is how are you going to survive out there, and what the hell will you eat....? So perhaps if we try to survive the aboriginis way, probably a handful of these yummy-juicy grub will sustain you with your much needed nurishments enough for you to live another day....

These days, we have 'discovered' Bush Tucker. Indigenous Australians have been eating bush tucker for 60,000 years but for a long time we steered clear of the mushrooms, fruits, vegetables, animals, birds, reptiles, insects, flowers, herbs and spices that are native to this country.

It didn't look nice. In fact it looked awful. It takes a fair amount of courage to munch on a lizard, and how about a large family sized moth? (You've heard about those grubs of course).

But there's also wonderful fruits, tubers, greens, seeds and nuts. Bush Tucker isn't just witchetty grubs, although Witjuti as they are commonly called by aboriginis are incredibly high in protein and free for the eating....

Bush tucker is becoming widespread, thanks to a spate of recent health studies showing that native Australian meats, especially emu and kangaroo, are lower in fat and higher in iron than other conventional meats. The fruits are also known to be healthier, with the Kakadu plum thought to be the world's highest source of Vitamin C.

Most of what European settlers believed to be inedible is now considered very much the norm on the menus of top restaurants around the country.

Hello, happy birthday to you....!

Hindi na po ako magpapaliguyligoy pa, (lalim nun a) this month of october kasi is something special in the mobile phone world....

Mobile phones turned 25 years old this year....!

And the first ever mobile phone to be launched pala was the enormously looking Motorola DynaTAC 8000X na kasing laki halos ng hollow block, at siguradong patay ang kuko mo kapag nabagsakan ka nito tsong....! It was in 1983, the year the first ever handheld mobile phone was out on the market, the name of this mobile phone was called the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X nga, kulit nyo naman e....! The price of one unit back then was a staggering $3,995, US yan ha....

The Motorola DynaTAC 8000X first received its approval from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission and become the world’s first commercial handheld mobile phone (Cell Phone to the Americans). March 6th 1983 was the date it was made available for purchase, and the demand for these handsets were so immense.... The Motorola DynaTAC 8000X featured specs that included Total Area Coverage’ let you talk for 30 minutes, 10 hours to recharge, eight hours of standby time, LED display, memory to store thirty “dialing locations and a cool size of 13 x 1.75 x 3.5 inches.... So to you kaibigang mobile phone, happy 25th Birthday....! O sino raw ba ang interesadong umorder dyan, may natitira pa daw silang sampong units nyang hollow blocks he-he....! =D

Time bug....

There was a small confusion with time this morning all over New South Wales.... The reason to all these....? The change to the daylight saving schedule that had cause a little time bug....

Daylight savings normally ends in New South Wales today, but has been delayed by one week in south-east states in an attempt to harmonise dates across the country.... Problems have been reported with broadcasting, with computer-operated systems failing to operate to the correct time....

Nakakalito ano....? Same experience rin yan kung nandun ka sa opposite pole of the earth like america and canada, kung kaya kailangan din nila ng daylight saving hours dun.... The time difference between philippines and australia is about 3 hours lang, that is during summer.... Pagdating ng winter, we wind the clock backward to adjust to DST (Daylight Saving Time) so magiging 2 hours na lang sya.... =D

Enter the Surprise Chef....!

Oi, wag kayong tumawa dyan, Outstanding Boy Scout yata ako nung araw....!

Ingredients:

1 cup water,

3 eggs,

1 cup bread crumbs,

1/2 cup flour,

2 spoonful of fried-dried onions minced (wala kasing makitang fresh),

salt, and pepper,

1 tbsp. minced shallot (dahon ng sibuyas),

vegetable oil,

Here's how:

All you have to do is to mix all the ingredients in a bowl tapos haluan ng minced shallot at inilagay sa plastic bag na tulad nung sa icing bag, tapos butasan ang dulo like what you do when eating an ice candy....

Galing kong talaga, yum....! =D

Nutrition Facts:

High on carbohydrates

High on calories

High on fat

Can be high on cholesterol

Can be deadly in the long run (nananakot)

Masarap pero wag kaining palagi, bad for the heart, wala nang halong pananakot yan ha-ha....! Anyways, thanks for your time spent reading my cooking tips today.... Kain muna ako, gutom na sa kaka-typing....! Adios taquitos....! =D

The killer cuppa....

We all know how dangerous a cup of boiling water straight from the kettle is, but i've never expected it to be as much straight out of the microwave oven as i've experienced the almost desastrous way today....

I normally heats-up water from the kettle but today while i was updating my blog, i wanted it to be a bit quicker than usual so i put a cup of water in the microwave which i don't normally do.... Set the machine for 2.50 mins. and went back in front of my pc to continue blogging.... After a while i've heard a beeping sound which means that my cup was ready.... When i took it out of the oven, it was bubbling and overflowing so i suspected that it was really hot....

Without noticing, i poured half a spoon or so of coffee in it then all of a sudden it started bursting, bubbling, and splatering water up in the air in front of me and slightly missed my face like a boiling lava from a volcano....! Whew....! I've never expected that one....! Never seen anything like that before....! So never ever do this at home guys....! Take it from me, if my face had been luckily spared from being boiled today, baka yang sa yo ay hindi....! Beware of the killer cuppa bwaha-ha-ha....! =D

One perfect sunset....

Since last thursday i was bothered by a problem.... I guess it was still a part of the long ribbon of problems that had came to us since AB and i started this investing thingy back in pinas last year.... Most part of it are concerning the money matters....

I am not the kind of person that is motivated by crispy basket of cash by the way, i will still choose happiness first before a pocket full of money.... But the problem is, almost everything that are necessary for us human beings to be happy and contented nowadays already has a monetary value....! Which means that whatever theories, principles, beliefs, hocus-pocus etc. do you believe into, the reality that will slam your face first is we still need money to survive and fit in this unforgiving society of ours whether we like it or not....! In short, my problems was obviously about money....

We have to meet a deadline by the 6th of november that was supposed to be on the first week of 2008 pa sana next year, but because there was a sudden twist of events hiniling ng property owner na ibigay namin ang half of the remaining amount next month na....! Behind all that, i still have to meet my other priorities too like my bills, electricity, landline, mobile phone, food, transport etc....! So there i go, my bank account was flat....! I've even counted-in my next payment at work na for the end of this month but still no use dahil short pa rin ako....! Brain storming went on and on and before i knew, it was already 5:00 AM and i forgot to go to bed pala....!

Today i woked up 9:30 AM with only four hours of sleep at parang exhausted pa rin pakiramdam ko dahil kahit sa pagtulog yata ay patuloy akong haunted ng problema namin.... This morning i've already given up and said bahala na....! So i took a shower, a good breakfast and try not to put on a long face eventhough deep inside my system the acid level was boiling and rising due to too much stress in my mind....! Then i returned to the old habbit, the way every troubled person does when faced with brick walls.... I sat in the corner, then i turned to GOD for help....

It's sunday today so i thought he's there expecting everyone, ready to listen to our every prayers eventhough some of us always memorized them from the books over and over again.... So i did pray that very moment.... I prayed that he will make thing easier for me to handle and i've also prayed that my problem will be solve before the day ends today.... Time went by and i even came up to the point na may mga realisations ako na wala yata talagang diyos and we're simply just like the moss growing on a damp old wall na basta na lang sumulpot just because the temperature, moisture and everything was just right for us to grow....

That the scientologists were right when they said that god did came from outerspace....! But deep in my heart i still believe in that one immediate friend who's always there willing to listen to my whispers and my thoughts eversince.... To make the story short, just before the sun went down today, Cam ranged and told me that he have to return the money that i gave him last month for the camera that i was planning to buy because that model wasn't in the market anymore, which is good dahil ibig sabihin nun ay may pandagdag na ako dun sa budget pambayad....! Then just before 8:00 PM tonight, my neighbor also came upstairs to my apartment and told me that he's willing to lend me some cash too....!

I'm aware that there's still a lot of problems up ahead while we're living, but just always keep it in our minds that there's someone there watching over us, just when we really thought that there wasn't anyone at all.... I owe this special day to him and today i have been blessed.... I wanted to post this entry as a sign of my respect and gratitudes to.... you know who is The almighty one don't you....? =D

P.S. You know what i'm thinking right now....? It wasn't actually my prayers that had made things happened today.... It was from someone else's prayers....! The twist of events that i've mentioned here a while ago was about the property owner's husband who is going to undergo an operation for Cancer of the Colon on the 6th of november....! I was just an instrument of god for him today.... =)

Fiesta Filipino in Sydney....

Five day to go before the annual Fiesta Filipino here in sydney.... I haven't been there last year and i think i will miss-out again this year, tinatamad kasi....! As far as i can remember, the last time that i went there was about four years ago pa at the Bankstown Racing Pace-way.... Martin Nievera was there with his exploding ballads, the ever sweet at nilalanggam na couple Lotlot and Monching was there too, and the lovely Jackie Lou Blanco was just next to us that time before the show, wearing a plain white t-shirt, maong jeans, and white tennis shoes.... She even went pass infront of us like a nobody, wala kasing pumapansin sa kanya noon dun, i don't know why he-he....! She's so little pala in person ha-ha....! Pintasero....! =D

I guess Fil-Aussies are a bit different compared to some pinoys back there in pinas in some ways.... They don't get carried-away very easily according to my observations lang ha nung nandun ako sa fiesta.... They do wanted to be entertained naman of course....! And they also come to a frenzy when the stars are already on the stage performing, but spotting them walking around with the crowd after the show didn't even pulled a trigger or anything at all....! In fact, Miss Blanco was just right there a meter away from us, abot kamay ko na pero parang walang nakakita sa kanya....! Basta ako i was more interested on the FOOD lang that time ha-ha....! I can survive a straight 10 years without pinoy tv, and pinoy stars but i could not last a week without pinoy food in the plate....! =D

Anyways, this year's one will be held at the Rosehill Garden Racing Ground.... I don't know how they are going to arrange things there, kasi ang alam ko at the moment some parts of the pace-way are being quarantined to contain the spread of a contagious desease called the Equine influenza or horse-flu that has been affecting a lot of horses already and held the race schedules on a stand still since the day one of the outbreak in the area.... Ano-ano kaya ang mga tinda dun....? Here i go thinking about the Filipino food again....! =D

I just wonder lang who the guest stars for this year's fiesta are going to be....? Many were satisfied by Pokwang's performance last year....! I missed-out on that one too.... I don't have a pinoy satellite tv and i also don't have the time to borrow the recorded in cassettes ones from the filipino shops.... That's why when i came back home to pinas last time, my face was stucked infront of the telly na nakanganga at tulo pa ang laway at pilit ina-absorb ang mga programs sa tv na na-miss ko for a very long time....! Hirap ng matagal nawala sa pinas ano....? Nagmukha tuloy ako taong gubat na for the first time lang nakapanood ng pinoy tv he-he....!

Yesterday i went to cabramatta to Cam's place.... I always go there every year to see the celebration of the Chinese Moon Fiestival.... This year's one wasn't too bad, but there was something missing there.... Seem like they don't have that much programs on stage at all this time, unlike last year's....! So i just stayed there for about four hours, bought few pairs of pants and went home.... By the way, Moon Fiestival is being celebrated by chinese every year as a sort of independence day and freedom celebration from the rulings of the mongolians that occupied their country way back pa sa time ng paggawa dun sa famous and visible from outerspace na Great Wall of China.... Since then, ay palagi na nila itong sini-celebrate.... O di ba alam ko to ha-ha....!

This coming weekend i'll visit a hobby shop in the city to buy a new r/c car in preparation for our once a month race with the Drift Package Team next month.... So i'm going to be very busy up ahead....! Anyways, i hope that this year's Filipino Fiesta will be a successful one.... Though i might not be able to be there, pero sigurado akong bukang bibig to ng mga pinoy dun sa workplace namin weeks and weeks after the event so malalaman ko pa rin kung ano ang nangyari dun....! =D

It's your lucky day today....!

I don't really believe in numerology, but today's one is exceptional.... Today is the 7th day, of the 7th month, in the 7th year in 2000....! Whooohooo!

The number is so favorable that a lot of events such as weddings for instance are being scheduled to tie the knot, and exchange vows specially today....

There no guarantee of a match made in heaven though, but who know which couple the lucky spell will decide to fall on to today....!

Wedding ceremonies are soaring as well, much higher than it's highest record ever in a hundred years.... Tama ba yun ha-ha! Just a guess....! Exaggerations ko lang ha-ha....!

Some expectant mothers also even agreed on a caesarean birth just for the delivery to fall in time for today's event, and that i saw on the news today not only another guess there he-he....!

If only i've realised that much earlier, i could've placed a bet on the local lottery too for tonight's draw....! Whew! I've missed-out on that one....! I could be a millionaire tomorrow sana, sayang....!

Never mind, i will have the next chance naman in lets say a hundred years time he-he...! Yes folks, the calendar only renders this kind of fortune once every 100 years that's why it's exceptional and so does the luck that it could bring....! That if you'are really lucky enough to catch it falling out of the sky he-he....! So this could be your lucky day huh....!

By the way, i've posted this entry so that the luckiness and all of these numbers will be stored in my blog forever ha-ha....!

Sign Spinners....

Something caught my attention today.... Have you ever seen anything like this before....?! I doubt it, i don't think you did ha-ha....! Unless you'are living in the U.S. of course....!

I was browsing through the web today looking for something interesting to read when i accidentally found an intriguing word from one of the articles i was reading talking about kid's working in the streets of america particularly in california, it reads as " Sign Spinners "....

I was wondering what a sign spinner is and what they do, so i went to google and start searching for some images.... Still i wasn't satisfied with what i saw so i went-out to u-tube and luckily i found this video of one of those spinners.... It's awsome....!

Who would ever thought that you can do tricks like this with a sign-board ha-ha....! These stunt kids must have had suffered a lot of nose breaking lip bleedin pains before stepping up to this level of skills....! Hanep....!

The main objective here is to catch as much attentions as possible with all these fantastic moves and amazing antics.... Astig di ba....?!

Though they're being banned in some areas due to motorist distraction.... New aspiring spinners are still continuously spending hours and hours of rugged and rigid tranings a day just to gain what it takes to be a professional sign spinner....

How can i describe this kind of job? SUPER WALASTIK ha-ha....! (are you considering a change of career Peng....?) Nope, thank you very much....! This is absolutely not my cup of tea he-he....!

My idea of a Blogosphere....

Define Blogosphere - A collective blog community. A center of electronically generated kalokohan, pag-ibig, family, barkadahan, bahaybahayan, bangayan, reliheyon, astigan, yabangan, lampungan, palaisipan, puyatan, sisihan, tsismisan, pikunan, pityuran, kapraningan....etc, etc, etc

Some say it's like a spider-web that goes around and around with it's fine thread, but structurewise it has a strong frameworks that bonds each wiggly-wobbly strand of threads together to withstand the ever changing test of time.... Just like the way a web-community bonds together....

Some even thought that it's like a network of railroads running the neverending winding tracks, zigzaging, criss-crossing, and connecting people to every stations they wish to be without any tangles, delays, or traffics....

However, technical minded brainiacs / gizmonatics / web-addicts / cyberchopathics....etc, associates these whole ideas with the blockbuster head slammer movie Matrix.... In which our world is hanging unfirmly between realities and illusions.... They described it as a world of bright neon lights, digits, binaries, codes or a neverending fast-fall in a bright tweed and tangle pipelines.... Or speeding-up towards uncertainties.... Just like the movie Matrix itself....

So far, i've never encountered such questions as : How does a Blogosphere looks like, or what is it shape like? Does it looks like my astig brother or shape like my lasenggo father?

Obviously naman a sphere is a sphere.... It has a spherical shape like our world so it symbolises a world.... But if that sphere is same as the atmosphere, then it would have a platelike layers....

In my own opinion slash imagination, isa lang at wala ng iba.... Ang the only one that meets these characteristics.... Ano pa kundi PIZZA....! Ha-ha-ha...!

Wooohooo....! Grab a piece everyone....!

P.S. You know what goes along well with pizza, apart from fizzy drinks....? A bottle of anesthetic (beer na beer!) ha-ha....! Tsalap....!

Astig pala si Bantay

Woooohoooo....! Ano nga palang year nag-umpisa ang blog sites....? Pero back to our topic proper muna tayo....

---------------------------------Pasakal

I cant believe it....!

At kaya nitong durugin ang Ark in just first moment of contact...!

However...!

Any questions...? Why is the carabao black? Very simple... Libag...!
